I began my professional career in health sciences and holistic health. A very different field from Blockchain Development I know!
I spent over 10 yrs in the field, mostly as a business owner or independent contractor, and I love having creative control, working with people to design tailored health programs, each one unique.
A couple of years ago I became fascinated with Blockchain and Crypto Currencies. Initially, my only plan was to be an investor but the more I learned about the space, the more I fell in love, not only with the tech but with the ethos and the desire to implement change which has the power to truly help people on a mass scale.
I decided to begin my coding career by studying Full Stack Development with MIT because I want to build a strong programming foundation in Javascript, utilizing a more traditional tech stack. Following my completion of the MIT program I plan to fully immerse myself in learning Solidity and all things Blockchain! This, along with my previous experience in Photoshop and Product Development, makes me a strong and passionate prospect for any Blockchain related project.
When not programming you can usually find me hanging upside down somewhere. I began learning aerial silks and circus arts in 2015. I actually have an aerial rig in my backyard. I find that the combination of movement and creativity is the best way to get blood flowing back into the brain after a long programming session!
Like coding and photoshop, aerial silks is amazingly fluid and creative but there are specific steps you have to follow. If you do not know and utilize the basic wraps the trick wont work. Every step is there for a reason. Once you understand this and grasp the basic theory, there is no end to what you can create!
Puzzling through different wraps and pathways to connect tricks in new and exciting ways exercises the logic centers of the brain. Like coding, it can be both frustrating and rewarding at the same time, but ultimately worth the effort.
